What is Palestion?
There no such word as Palestion, but it appears on about 370 pages listed by the Google Search Engine and 79 in Yahoo. It is a common misspelling of another word: Guess which one. There are also over 200 listings for Palestions.
However, we can see where such a word might be useful. A Palestion might be a question asked by a Palestinian, a support for an archway in a medieval palace, or any number of other things. For example, we could have fine quotes such as:
"To be or not to be, that is the Palestion!"
It could also be a country (pronounced Pulehstea -on) which is the homeland of the Palestions. It could be, but it is not. Someone could write a novel, "Sailing to Palestion." Palestion (also pronounced Pulehstea -on) could have been a Greek warrior in the battle for Troy, whose exploits were described in a manuscript. The manuscript was lost when Aloysius Delicious, a monk of the Benedictine order, used it to wrap a ham and cheese sandwich in 1283 AD. Don't laugh, lots of manuscripts were lost that way.
